The Kids Are Alright

Last week, Idaho State University president Arthur Vailas and the Rethuglican-infested Idaho State Board of Education chose to suspend the ISU Faculty Senate for the crime of overwhelmingly voting no-confidence against Vailas. Today, students at ISU came out in force to protest Vailas and the SBOE, and show their support for the faculty.

And the part where the protesters started singing the Emperor's March from Star Wars was pretty cool, too.

No Live Ammo There

I had a friend post on facebook that he was at this rally and was hoping the authorities would not bring out the live ammo...

I guess these things bring some measure of hope about that generation. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for posting this video, Serephin. I'm still trying to frame my thoughts on what's going on at ISU, but honestly, all I've got is disappointment.
