America is a democracy, and democracy is hard. You have to keep earning it. Since it is a democracy, we, ALL Americans, are responsible for what our country does or doesn't do in the world. You may not be at fault, but you ARE responsible.
(Background Music: The Empire Strikes Back) Idaho's 'evil empire' unravelling
Let me connect the dots for all you little Donkeys out there...
As sure a sign of disharmony as there is: Jayson Ronk, the "Executive Director" of the Idaho Republican Party, married to the niece, Megan Ronk, of Idaho Car Dealers' el supremo politico, Con Paulos and former staffer to Dirk Kempthorne, was recently "released" by the GOP el hefe, Dr. Kirk Sullivan (a.k.a. 'Boss Hogg').
Seems the young & aggressive Ronk was the hidden GOP 'inside man' on the forced court-attempt to mandate closed primaries in Idaho. The Ronks fancy themselves Boise's latest "power couple", and this--and his close proximity to the wingnut-wing of the GOP didn't set too well with the Boss.
Sullivan, who failed in his attempt to stop Bill Sali from recruiting off the street for the Congressional Primary of '06, thus winning with 23% of the vote, wasn't about to screw up a second time. He knows the closed primary issue is a big loser for the Idaho GOP, along with Brainfade Bill's pistachio portfolio of wingnut groupies, and now the latest scandal with Larry-boy and his refusal to resign. Meanwhile the Idaho economy continues to come unraveled like a cheap Soviet mens' suit, let IACI & the GOP explain that.
But never fear little Donkeys, the power of dialectical politics is alive & well in the Spud State. Ronk's contract has been picked up by [drumroll] our friends over at IACI, or as my associate William [Wallace] Sellers in Idaho Falls calls 'em, "I-Lackey" (for the lack of commerce & industry). Ronk will join fellow deep-thinker Alex LaBeau, who (no shit) puts the following on his IACI web bio: "is the ninth generation in the family to carry the 'Alex LaBeau' name." Whoa! has this guy got a big ego or what?
So they're now all in one place, the young, the arrogant, the mentally-challenged...ready to re-order Idaho's economy for the benefit of all those sunsetting industries and fellow wingnutters that have done so much to help the people of Idaho. "I-Lackey" indeed.

What?
We're "little Donkeys?" WTF?
Interesting story nonetheless.
Yep, little donkeys
When you actually take power (to many Dems a foreign concept) you'll be something else...without power, Shrew, nothing happens
It sounds condescending
and detracts from your worthwhile comments. It does not motivate me to want to read your post. We're all here to obtain a better future for Idaho. But trying to motivate us by belittling us won't achieve the desired effect.
I agree, the tone was a bit condescending....
and the dots are not clearly connected. As the shrew said "Interesting story nonetheless", but not a lot of insight to those of us that are unfamiliar with the names and associations of individuals mentioned. Sounds like a few bombs are being dropped here without context.
Interesting though that you would use the word “dialectical”, usually associated with the philosophical views of the Marxist's rather than the true root of the word “dialectic” which would have invoked a more pluralistic interpretation.
