Where's Crapo?

From the diary of Mr. Rubberstamp:

On February 28, I was honored to join several of my colleagues, including the Chairman and the Senior Republican on the Senate Finance Committee, at a news conference to introduce the Endangered Species Recovery Act of 2007(ESRA) (S. 700). Challenger the Eagle also made a brief appearance at the news conference.

And then they killed and ate him. According to Sen. Tom Coburn: "It wasn't as good as Spotted Owl."

This bipartisan...

Uh-oh, a Republican claiming a bill is bipartisan? Must be another bridge to nowhere....

...legislation provides financial incentives for conservation efforts and is strongly supported by the National Endangered Species Reform Act Coalition (NESARC), the American Farm Bureau, the National Wildlife Federation, the Environmental Defense Fund the Defenders of Wildlife, the Congressional Sportsmen's Caucus and other groups.

Sing along time! Some of these groups arn't like the others, some of these groups support big business, some of these la la la (fill in the words you like).

I will also take leadership roles as the Senior Republican on two Subcommittees: the Rural Revitalization, Conservation, Forestry and Credit Subcommittee of the Agriculture Committee, and the Housing, Transportation and Community Development Subcommittee of the Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs Committee.

What about the leadership of the Tight Pants, Nice Ass Subcommittee?

So as you can see, Sen. Where's Crapo has been very busy and is looking forward to more bipartisan activities. Mostly he's looking for the next opportunity to rub shoulders with that crazy freshman that went nuts over the Prez.
