Who wants an orange whip? Orange whip? Orange whip? Three orange whips.
43SB Live Blogging -- Idaho Primary Election 2006
The phone lines are open (so to speak), so have at 'er.
UPDATE 12:44 AM: Thank you to all who commented. Now begins the race to November 7th.
Get some rest, y'all. Lot's of work to be done.

It's 8:54 PM...
KTVB Has Started Their Coverage...
Got a Rum & Coke (Yeah, it's a little early in the week for you C&J'ers), got the tube on, and I'm logged on to 43rdSB.
I'd say I'm ready to go!

Bumperstickers for us...
Hey, Serephin,
With 1% reporting, Vasquez and Sali are on top, if the other 99% go that way we may be splitting a Red State Rebels bumpersticker in half!

I'm still holdin' out
on the bumper sticker...don't burst my bubble yet Chris.
Sorry, folks...
The site got hit hard for awhile and killed the blogging. And I've been so busy at Bannock Co. Dem HQ putting up numbers I haven't been able to blog.
Hell of a night. Dems did not come out and vote. Props to Repubs -- they did.
How are things
at the HQ?
Disappointed...
... at the low Dem turnout. And a win that wasn't expected in the county.

Are the Bannock County
results in? Which win was the disappointment?
Too many RINOs in our county...
Like I said at Red State Rebels, we have two RINOs running for local office (no candidates running on the Dem ticket) so too many people voted the Republican ticket. November will be a bit better... I hope!
Just out of curiousity...
Do you think a bunch of Dems voted for Sali like people were discussing earlier?
Geez...
I HOPE NOT! Sali is an idiot.

Skip Brandt 1197 10%

Shelia is moving up and Sali is coming down, hopfully that continues.

Ranere?
Geoff Ranere lost?
Yes...
Big time.
that's the point, I thought...
I would think that Sali would be easy for any fruit or vegetable to beat in the general election, much less an intelligent rational Democrat. Maybe I misunderstood the discussion, I admit that it wasn't my way of doing things so I didn't pay too much attention to it...
Holy Shit.
Can I say that on this blog?
I have to release one chuckle of satisfaction...
Dan Adamson... who has signs on every corner and every "health care center" lawn around here... who owns our infamous "Gooding Rehab" known for its violations and fines from the state... only received 328 votes... one for each sign in the county I guess!!! I think he has more than 328 employees working for his centers around here... hmmm, they don't even vote for him? Oh yeah, lots of them are said to be illegals... maybe THAT explains it. (I'm not criticizing illegal immigrants... I'm condemning the hypocritical Republicans who benefit from their slave labor and turn around to tell the rest of the country that illegal immigrants are ruining our economy...)
Gooding County results (7 of 7 precints)
REP Dan Adamson 328 19%
REP Walt Bayes 46 3%
REP Jack Alan Johnson 66 4%
REP C.L. "Butch" Otter 1,255
Does Idaho use Diebold?
Just curious...
No, it does not. And the
No, it does not. And the machine it does use produces a paper receipt.
Diebold?
What is it?
So are we chatting on two sites tonight?
Just wondering... I'm bouncing back and forth...
I'm hearing...
... that the radio stations in Boise are calling all the precincts and that they're showing Jana Jones beating Bert Marley by about 10%. We're not showing that by the numbers we have here so far, but we're not polling all the counties. We're just trying to read the top 10 counties, but a number of them aren't reporting online.
I forgot I was over at
Red State Rebels. Too many windows open at once! ;)
KTVB
Has been talking about the new energy that is in the Idaho Democrats! They've pointed on it quite a few times now; I think that if we run against Sali we've got a pretty damn good chance.
It is going to be a good election season though, and the media is doing a good job of letting the people on the fence that yes, it is ok to vote for someone who has a "D" next to their name in Idaho.
liberal idaho.org
I'm hearing also...
... that folks throughout the state got a LOT of robocall from both sides. Did you folks get many of them?
Oh, Christ on a crutch, I
Oh, Christ on a crutch, I must have gotten more than a dozen in the last week alone. Both sides.
Skippen going down?
I'm really disappointed that Kathy Skippen looks to be losing. She was another Republican who got slapped with the 'liberal' epithet for some of her views, and it looks like it's hurt her.
This Superintendent Race Is
INTENSE!!!
CD #1
It looks like Sorenson and Johnson split the 'reasonable Republican' vote.
Are they calling it
For Jana? Anybody know something I don't?
Doesn't look good for Bert
KTVB shows Jana ahead by 10%.
Wow.
I don't even know what to say right now. I think they call in numbness.
